Even though the forecast was for 'white cloud' and a cool 5 degrees yesterdays rain had moved away !!! So Mag and I decided to get out into the Suffolk countryside.I wanted to be near some water to try for some more 'blurred' water shots so checked 'Walking in Suffolk'and found a nice 5 mile round walk starting off at my old stamping ground - Barham Pits - a scene of several fishing match wins many years ago :)
We parked at the Barham picnic site for a quick breakfast before setting toward the River Gipping at Blackenham Lock :) We had to cross the Ipswich to Norwich train track three times on the trip but only had one cross incounter with a train !!!
We followed the muddy river path past Sharmford Lock to the Rare Breeds Centre at Baylam Mill where we headed away from the river to Baylam Village. We saw a heron on a pond before getting lost :( it was only a mile rround trip out of our way !!! and we soon found our way back to Gt Blakenham. So back between Barham A and B pits arriving back at our van knackered after over 3 three and 6 mile travelled !!!
